Analysing a Music Video (Kings Of Leon- Use Someone )

The video starts of with the pan camera movement which shows the audience the setting of the video however no one is seen at first. There are loads of straight cuts used at a very high pace, shows different settings which connotes that the band are alway busy and on going. It also tells the audience a little about the band.There's a mid shot of one of the band member smoking on stage the which connotes that they are rebelling against sociality. This shows that the target audience is youth because quite often youth are represented as trouble who are alway going against what is right. 
Close up is used to focus on the musicians mouth when singing the lyrics of the song there's also a close up of his face to show the emotion, which suits what the song is about. Later on in the video a pan is used to move from one member of the band to another.Close ups of band is used to emphasis that the band plays there only instruments as the gengre of the video is indie/rock.
The video does not have a real narrtive to it however there are many shots and footage of the tour they did and but using fast cuts gives the audience the feeling of travling.The first line of the song is also used as the last line and the close up shot of the lead singer is used again, like at the beginning of the song which helps the audience connect with the lyrics as they would have heard them more than once.
Analysing An Advert 

The poster is very plain the image is the sunset which connects with the albums name " come Around Sundown" the colour are contrassing between rock and indie as the are not dark colour however the colours are not bright either. The purpose of the poster is to advertise when the ablums going to be out and they do this by putting the data on the poster however the text does really standout, it camflouage with the background.

The ablums is in black and white however the band name is in a draker tone of black and the ablums title is in red which makes the text standout for the audience.the background is very plain which makes the girl and goat standout, the girls is not your stereotype " Hottie" however she is fin.By having the goat in the image make the audience what to know what is so important about this Goat.This image is like a carry on from the first one, which give the audience more information about the setting of the images.the carvan look deserted and old.The thrid image has an connection with the first image however the audience still does know what it stands for. The image of the bans they are all standing in a line therefore no one stands out.
